SECTON3 embeds two radios operating concurrently, for Day1, either LTE-V2X (C-V2X Rel. 14/15) or DSRC, and for Day2, either 5G-V2X (C-V2X Rel. 16/17/18) or IEEE802.11bd, while using two antennas with full transmit and receive diversity.
With full backward compatibility to its successful predecessor SECTON, SECTON3 is simply integrated with any external host CPU. SECTON3 is automotive-qualified for operation at 105° ambient temperature.
SECTON3-based designs can achieve ISO26262 ASIL B certification for automatic braking of the vehicle based on V2X.
SECTON3 embeds all required V2X security functions with ultra-low-latency V2X Hardware Security Module (eHSM) and hardware verification, for optimizing the application CPU computing resources.
The device is uniquely capable of global operation, supporting all different protocols and requirements, for the US, Europe, China and Japan.
