Autotalks in Israel is launching a V2X communications systems that is ready for integration into cyclists and e-scooters.

75% of bike and scooter accidents are caused by drivers not noticing cyclists, so the ZooZ3 module sits on handlebars to provide V2X data to and from other vehicles and roadside units to boost safety.

The V2X unit uses the Autotalks TEKTON3-BIKE third generation System on Chip (SoC) for bike manufacturers wanting collision prevention technology. The ZooZ3 module has built-in V2X firmware specifically dedicated to micromobility safety use cases such as “Intersection Collision Warning” (ICW) and “Rear Collision Warning” (RCW). The module has customization and expansion capabilities, comprehensive security, and global compatibility.

Building on the foundation of the TEKTON3-BIKE chipset, Autotalks is introducing a 3rd generation V2X bicycle safety device designed for effortless installation on handlebars. ZooZ3 functions as a reference platform for micromobility, targeting large-scale pilots, and promptly alerting cyclists when they are in danger.
