The German company says this will \u201chelp bicycles get noticed on the road\u201d and that this would \u201c[increase] the safety of cyclists.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fitting of V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication beacons to bicycles has been trialled for several years\u2014similar chipset technology is already deployed in static street furniture around the world\u2014but the concept is controversial because it may increase the danger to road users not equipped with beacons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canyon said it is working with V2X company Autotalks.
